No not that kind. Just a quick look at the ALPHA user interface for the initial CloudScale Ruby-on-Rails product!
Although delayed longer than expected, the ALPHA is now pretty much ready to roll out. We're going to solicit a wider audience to help us with it starting in January 2008 and are now taking a much needed break over the holidays.
We wanted to leave you with this Christmas gift. Following are some images of the fully functional CloudScale system launching a RoR stack. Note that we are fully abstracting away the Amazon pain:
- DNS and hostnames are handled by our system so that you can reference your running instances with something that makes sense
- Fully clustered MySQL database on the backend (mdb instances)
- Ability to start, stop, and manually scale nodes
- Not shown here, but available is ability to have your app tell the infrastructure to scale additional nodes
