No not that kind. Just a quick look at the ALPHA user interface for the initial CloudScale Ruby-on-Rails product!

Although delayed longer than expected, the ALPHA is now pretty much ready to roll out. We're going to solicit a wider audience to help us with it starting in January 2008 and are now taking a much needed break over the holidays.

We wanted to leave you with this Christmas gift. Following are some images of the fully functional CloudScale system launching a RoR stack. Note that we are fully abstracting away the Amazon pain:

  • DNS and hostnames are handled by our system so that you can reference your running instances with something that makes sense
  • Fully clustered MySQL database on the backend (mdb instances)
  • Ability to start, stop, and manually scale nodes
  • Not shown here, but available is ability to have your app tell the infrastructure to scale additional nodes
More soon after the holiday break.

Happy Holidays from the CloudScale Networks team!
